so why am i a designer?
well, to be around creative minds and to help to enrich the lives of the population through the visual medium of design.
the label on the milk carton, the layout of your daily newspaper, the ticket for your tube journey to work, the signage that tells you where to go, the icons on your computer desktop, the box your sandwich comes in, the label on your wine bottle, the poster for the latest hollywood blockbuster, your membership card, and the advert on the side of the taxi that takes you home.
what would the world be without all this?
if the design delivers; the audience is happy, the client is overjoyed and i'm ecstatic and if that is the case then to me, it's not a job. it's much more than that. if it's fun, it's not work - and if it's not work, it's fun.
i want to create. give me paper and a pen - or a mac - and i'll be happy, sitting in the corner opening up the world to new ideas.
just ask for the guy who keeps the creative fire burning bright.
